What's On!

We always have a wide variety of things to keep the whole family amused - and if you want to get a flavour of what to expect, please visit our Gallery.

THE TRADITIONAL OPENING

.

Reach Fair used to take place on Rogation Monday up until 1979 when, upon application to the Home Office, it was moved to the first Bank Holiday in May.

It is a Charter Fair, granted by King John on 8th January 1201 to the Burgesses of Cambridge and the Mayor and Councillors attend, wearing their robes/gowns of office, to proclaim it at midday.

They throw penny coins into the crowd - make sure you get here for this memorable opening by the mayor.
